Headlamp: An Extensible UI Platform for Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem

English
This talk will be held in English. / Dieser Vortrag wird auf Englisch gehalten.

The Kubernetes and cloud-native landscape is vast and the number of specialized tools are many. This diversity is a strength, but it also leads to a fragmented user experience and a steeper learning curve for users; every tool brings its own interface—or none at all. How can we tame this situation and offer developers and operators a consistent and intuitive environment?

This is where Headlamp comes in. Now an official Kubernetes project under SIG-UI, Headlamp provides a modern, extensible web UI for Kubernetes. But Headlamp is more than just another dashboard. Through its plugin architecture and a growing catalog of plugins for well-known CNCF projects, it is establishing itself as a common UI platform.

This talk will introduce Headlamp as a project, present current use cases, and demonstrate the extent of its plugin system. We will do this in the context of presenting the vision of the project. The core aim is to spark the audience's imagination about the possibilities and advantages of building around a common UI platform.

The goal is to inform the audience about Headlamp and its vision and to spark the audience's imagination about the possibilities and advantages of building around a common UI platform.
