Dieser Vortrag wird auf Deutsch gehalten. / This Talk will be held in German.

How is AI transforming software development beyond code completion?

This talk takes you on Amazon's internal journey from AI frustration in 2024 to AI-native development in 2026 and beyond.

Learn how structured methodologies like Spec-Driven Development evolved from manual prompting to built-in IDE workflows, and discover how AI is expanding across the entire software development lifecycle - from research and planning to security and operations. We'll explore Frontier Agents, autonomous coding agents that learn and work at scale, and the challenges of going truly AI-native.

Some experience with AI agents, for example for coding, is helpful.

  • Understand the evolution from prompt-driven to spec-driven development and why structure matters for AI coding
  • Learn how AI tools are expanding beyond coding to cover the full SDLC (research, planning, security, operations)
  • Discover the concept of Frontier Agents that can work asynchronously with development teams
