Ever met a platform team that builds whatever comes in today? Or one that won’t work without a support ticket? Or one that ships platform features nobody ever uses? Welcome to our safari!

This talk is a humorous field guide to team stereotypes based on real encounters.

We start with a quick introduction to Team Topologies with its four team types (platform, enabling, stream-aligned, complicated subsystem) and three interaction modes (X-as-a-Service, collaboration, facilitation).

Afterwards, we explore the team “species” in their natural habitat. You’ll learn how to recognise them, why they behave this way, and what you can do whether you’re working with or are part of such a team.

The talk covers the fundamentals and practical application of Team Topologies, focusing on how to work with different team types. Attendees will receive helpful tips for their daily work.
