Durable execution frameworks have been on the rise in recent years, offering abstractions to run code via workflows in a reliable, fault-tolerant and persistent way. They have seen adoption not only in product engineering, but also across Platform and SRE teams to automate complex internal workflows.
The paradigm allows engineers to focus on the what and leave the messy how – dealing with intermittent failures and state management – to the framework and the underlying platform.
This talk will introduce the terms and concepts of durable executions and show how to implement them with temporal.io.
